Hope Long Island Spectrum Center A Starting Point

HOPE is something you hold on to when you have a child with ADHD, Learning Challenges or an Autistic Spectrum Disorder.

HOPE that they will get better;

HOPE that they can communicate;

HOPE that they can make friends;

HOPE that they will someday be able to thrive in the world we live in.

If you have a child with one of these problems, you know how frustrating it can be; hearing advice from well meaning friends and family, reading about things other people recommend, searching the internet every day and not knowing which way to turn. You have sought help - often seeing one specialist after another - but with mixed results. Frustration, disappointment and fear are part of everyday life.

What will you do now?

Vision

At The Long Island Spectrum Center (LISC), there is a direct focus on how fixing metabolic problems and enhancing nervous system function can improve the lives of children affected by these disorders. We are a unique combination of clinical and educational professionals dedicated to helping kids with ADD/ADHD, learning disabilities and Autistic Spectrum Disorders to develop their fullest potential.

We help children and their families to achieve this goal through the innovative use of cutting-edge therapies, personalized special education and technology, without the use of medication! The cornerstone at the LISC is the unique Neuro-Enhancement Therapy Program (NET®), a non-invasive research-based treatment process. NET® has been designed to combine functional neurology, sensory training, diet/nutrition and special education to treat dysfunction in the bodies of children with Autism and spectrum disorders. Instead of managing symptoms, we can often identify and significantly improve the root cause of the problem.
